Fort Worth Superintendent Won't Resign Over Transgender Bathroom Policy

The Fort Worth Independent School District superintendent said Tuesday he will not heed Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick's request for his resignation over the district's bathroom guidelines for transgender students.

The Rockwall City Council last night rejected the mayor’s controversial proposal that would have regulated bathroom use.

Under a new policy change, transgender inmates in Texas prisons will be able to receive hormone therapy while behind bars.  It’s a move that advocates are calling a positive step, but far from ideal.
