From Top to Bottom: Mike Gallaway, Trini Gonzalez

Dallas, TX – Irving voters decide three City Council seats on Saturday, May 8th.

Place 1 is a new single-member district in South Irving, majority Hispanic. 64 year old Trini Gonzalez is a political newcomer, owner of Glass Bricks by TC in Irving. It's also the first campaign for 45 year old Mike Gallaway, a senior inventory planner, and co-owner of a downtown Irving clothing boutique.

From Top To Bottom: Tom Spink, Roy Santoscoy

Dallas, TX – Irving voters decide three City Council seats on Saturday, May 8th.

Place 2 is an at-large seat. Voters citywide will decide between an incumbent city councilman and challenger. 71 year old Tom Spink is the council incumbent. He's lived in Irving 21 years, and owns an insurance agency. 44 year old Roy Santoscoy is a life-long Irving resident and business owner.

From top to bottom: Kim Limberg, Gerald Farris, Sam Smith

Dallas, TX – Irving voters decide three City Council seats on Saturday, May 8th.

Place 7 is a single member district in South and Central Irving. The race features a council incumbent and two challengers. 72 year old Sam Smith, council incumbent, is a longtime Irving resident and retired businessman. 46 year old Kim Limberg is a former TxDot civil engineer and Irving resident for 13 years. 51 year old Gerald Farris is a regulator manager and Irving resident for 15 years.

Dallas Corruption Trial Continues & Nightly Roundup

Dallas, TX –

A former Dallas city councilman is trying to combat claims by federal prosecutors that he led a scheme to extort hundreds of thousand of dollars in bribes from developers seeking to build apartment complexes.

The attorney for former Mayor Pro Tem Don Hill questioned an FBI agent Monday as the trial into alleged corruption in Dallas City Hall resumed after a nearly week-and-a-half break.

Dallas Voters OK Trinity Toll Road

Dallas, TX – Bill Zeeble, KERA reporter: From early vote results right through to the final numbers, the side favoring the toll road inside the levee always led. Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert championed the effort to keep toll road plans intact. In his victory speech delivered before 10 pm, he admitted that months ago, the other side led in the polls by 20 points.
