The top local stories this morning from KERA News: Former Dallas Police Chief David Brown was honored at a retirement celebration last night.
Brown didn’t say much about his post-retirement plans, but the according to the Dallas Morning News, the former chief says he’ll probably remain in the public eye.
He’s represented by a talent agency in New York City.
Brown stepped down earlier this month after six years as chief of police and 33 years with the department. He earned national praise for his handling of police ambush in downtown Dallas, which killed five officers July 7.
