The families affected by this summer’s deadly police shootings in downtown Dallas are getting financial help. On Tuesday at City Hall, Mayor Mike Rawlings announced that about $10 million dollars has been raised for the families of the officers killed and injured that night.

A new Texas nonprofit is offering access to Donald Trump – in exchange for million-dollar donations to unnamed conservation charities, that’s according to the Center for Public Integrity. The nonpartisan investigative news group reports two of the directors have Texas ties.
Jessica Cadick, her fiancé and their three kids were in a bad place after last year's Christmas storm. Their rental home was ripped apart and they didn’t have insurance. A lot of what they lost was gone for good. It’s been a tough year for the family financially, and as Courtney Collins reports, they’re still fighting to stay afloat — a year later.
