The top local stories this morning from KERA News: Today’s the last day to register to vote in order to participate in the March 1 primaries.

Texas will be one of 14 states holding elections or caucuses on what’s known as Super Tuesday. Voter turnout for the primaries will play a major role in which candidates will end up on the ballot for the presidential election

Other stories this morning:

  • Funeral services for Edward “Rusty” Rose will be at 3 p.m. at Highland Park Methodist Church in Dallas. The Dallas investor and philanthropist, best known as the former co-owner of the Texas Rangers, died Friday. He was 74.
