Dallas Congressman Jeb Hensarling has become the latest Republican House member to announce his retirement. Hensarling, who chairs the powerful Financial Services Committee, tells fellow Republicans in an email Tuesday that as his term as chairman comes to an end, it's the right time to leave Congress and spend more time with his teenage kids.

Leading up to Halloween, we’ve been visiting ghost towns across Texas. Tonight, we head southwest to a place tucked into the Chinati Mountains. Drive south of Marfa, and you'll see a sign that says "Shafter Ghost Town." Shafter used to be a mining town, now adobe ruins sit on what was once called "the richest acre in Texas." Marfa Public Radio's Elizabeth Trovall reports.
