From The Newsroom: Returning Weapons, Spotlighting Artists

The top local stories this evening from the KERA Newsroom: Surplus military weapons, things like night vision goggles and rifles, have been sent to school security officers in Texas and at least one North Texas district is sending them back. 

And the Crystal Bridges Museum in Arkansas has opened a nationwide exhibit of more than 100 contemporary American artists. A sizable contingent comes from Texas.
