From The Newsroom: Online Threats For Two Dallas Schools; Waiting For 'Star Wars' Debut

DallasISD.org

The top local stories this evening from the KERA Newsroom: Students and schools in Dallas, Houston and across the country made it through the day without disruption after a wave of threats that didn’t pan out. That came two days after Los Angeles schools closed down because of threats.

In Dallas, two schools were specifically mentioned: Pinkston High and Eladio Martinez Learning Center in West Dallas. Both were searched and given the all clear before dawn.

Even though millions of fans have reserved seats for Thursday's "The Force Awakens" screenings, there are folks camping out simply to ramp up the anticipation. A few North Texans got in line 10 hours before their Star Wars show time.

You can listen to the top local news stories weekdays at 6:20 p.m. and 8:20 a.m. on KERA 90.1 FM.
