The top local stories this evening from the KERA Newsroom: It was Election Day on Tuesday. In North Texas, several school bond packages were on the ballot. Voters got to decide whether to approve the Dallas Independent School District's $1.6 billion bond package, the largest in its history. 

Longtime Harper’s editor and writer Lewis Lapham told Krys Boyd that voters’ attention on the antics of politicians, versus the issues, has actually been encouraged by institutions of higher learning.

And, KERA’s Sam Baker talked with Marketplace host Kai Ryssdal about the show's survey about why Americans are anxious about the economy, even as it continues to recover.
