New Austin City Manager from Fort Worth

Fort Worth, TX –
Fort Worth Assistant City Manager Marc Ott will become the city of Austin's first African American City Manager.

Austin councilmembers today voted unanimously to hire Ott who has overseen infrastructure services in Fort Worth.

In his new position Ott will manage more than 12,000 employees and earn a salary of 242-thousand dollars a year.

He takes over from retiring Toby Futrell on February 18.
