Presidential candidate and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will be in Texas Wednesday and Thursday to raise money for her campaign.
Her itinerary includes stops in major Texas cities like Dallas, Austin, Houston and San Antonio. The Dallas Morning News reports she’ll be at a fundraising event Wednesday night in Dallas, hosted by Frank and Debbie Branson.
Local Republicans will have a welcome gift for her: a computer server, a nod to the controversy surrounding her use of a private email server when she was secretary of state.
Clinton also plans to be at a private reception in San Antonio, as well as a fundraising stop in Austin.
From The Texas Tribune:
Clinton has a fundraiser scheduled on the morning of June 4 at the home of Suzanne and Marc Winkelman. It costs $2,700 to attend the event, $27,000 to co-host it and $50,000 to host it, according to an invitation.
On Thursday, she’ll be in Houston for another fundraising event. She’ll also stop by Texas Southern University to accept a leadership award from its law school.
That same day, former Texas Gov. Rick Perry is expected to announce his bid for the Republican presidential nomination in Addison.
Clinton will make her first major campaign speech on June 13 in New York.
Politico reports on Clinton's "jam-packed fundraising schedule."
