It’s cold out there – and it’s only going to get colder.
As of 4 p.m., it was about 30 degrees across much of North Texas.
Expect lows tonight in the teens across the region – 17 degrees is forecasted at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.
The Weather Service hasn't issued any advisories for North Texas. But a winter weather advisory has been issued from 6 tonight until 6 a.m. Friday for counties south of Waco – along and south of a line from Hamilton to Martin to Centerville. A mix of rain and snow is expected in Corsicana, Waco, Killeen, Hearne and surrounding areas.
There won’t be any snow in North Texas – the weather service says dry air underneath clouds will cause snowflakes to dissipate as they fall to the surface.
Friday in North Texas will be warmer – expect highs in the lower 40s. Friday night will be cold, but not as cold as tonight – in the 30s.
Temperatures will climb into the mid 60s on Saturday – and up to 70 on Sunday.
