At 1 p.m. today on Think, we’re taking a tour of the North Texas craft beer scene with three of the people responsible for its grown. Wim Bens (Lakewood Brewing), John Reardon (Deep Ellum Brewing) and Grant Wood (Revolver Brewing) will join us for a discussion of how they chose the types of beers they make, how they come up with their names and what goes into brewing a great beer.

We’ll also talk about recent changes in state and local laws that eased restrictions on brewers – changes that could have a big impact on the state’s bottom line.

According to an economic impact study by the Texas Craft Brewers Guild, Texas craft brewers had an economic impact of $608 million on the state in 2011. When you couple that with the fact that craft beer made in Texas accounted for just .70 percent of all beer consumed in the state, you can see what lucrative industry this is – and why more breweries are popping up all the time.

If you’ve got a question for our panel, leave us a comment and we’ll do our best to get it answered during the show.
