Dallas, TX – As American works to reticket passengers, bus them to nearby locations or find flights on other carriers, the airline warns there may be more cancellations tomorrow.

American Spokesman Charly Wilson says passengers scheduled on American should check the AA-Dot-Com website for the status of their flights. The airline says it will also assist those who are stranded.

DFW airport is also helping out, distributing baby formula, diapers and keeping airport food kiosks open round the clock.

American pulled MD-80's out of service several weeks ago to inspect wiring in the wheel well that could affect a hydraulic pump. Monday the FAA expressed concern that the modifications were not adequate, so American began reinspecting the aircraft yesterday.

The financial strain of these cancellations come at a critical time as American faces escalating fuel costs and other costly concerns. operating strains.
