Dallas County Claims 20 Spots On Texas' List Of Most Congested Roadways

Harris and Dallas counties have the dubious honor of claiming the most spots in the state's latest list of the 100 most congested roadways in Texas.

A tiny Texas-themed tick can make you allergic to meat. And one expert says it could be the most common tick in North Texas.

Texas A&M University at Corpus Christi has been named a test site to develop drones for commercial use.

The Federal Aviation Administration announced Monday that Texas is one of six states that will be development sites for the unmanned aircraft.

The university's president, Flavius Killebrew, says the school is "proud to be a part of this historic moment in aviation history."

Texas Governor Rick Perry is nearing the end of a 10-day international economic opportunity tour with stops in London and Israel.

Perry took the opportunity to highlight the opening of a  Texas A & M University in Israel and looked to highlight Texas' financial successes, as well as recent resource and energy conservation solutions.

Texas A&M University plans to create an A&M branch in Israel.

The announcement was made Wednesday in Israel at the Jerusalem residence of Israeli President Shimon Peres.

Gov. Rick Perry and Texas A&M University System Chancellor John Sharp are traveling in Israel this week. Sharp says that A&M will open a "peace university" in Nazareth, Israel's largest city.

"That's a big ol' lion." How else to describe the new golden cat on the field at Texas A&M University-Commerce's Memorial Stadium that stretches from sideline to sideline, dominating the area between the 25-yard lines?

That description of the giant cat, which may be the largest on-field logo in America, comes from Mark Haslett of NPR member station KETR, which is based at the school in eastern Texas.

Euless Trinity High mourns the loss of two former players from the tight-knit Tongan community in a New Mexico wreck. More than 1,000 people attended a memorial service for the young men -- one a Texas A&M Aggie, the other at the University of Utah.

In the West Dallas branch of the city’s public library system, students are learning English. That's no surprise -- especially for a neighborhood with many Latino immigrants.

What's different here, though, is that both parents and kids are in class -- right across the hallway. The dual effort is part of the new Atmos Energy Literacy Center, which opened in January as a partnership with Texas A&M University Commerce.

Another person has died following the crash of a pickup truck overloaded with illegal immigrants in South Texas.

A federal appeals court is upholding the first federal regulations to reduce the gases blamed for global warming.
