As Super Bowl Sunday nears, a lot of people are talking about the team they’d liked to see win, the parties and, of course, the commercials. On Tuesday night at the Perot Museum in Dallas, the topic was football and ethics.

Some newly-found footprints of the duck-billed hadrosaur just might change our understanding of the species.

Colleen Walker’s path to becoming the next CEO of Dallas’s Perot Museum of Science and Nature is a little unusual. She’s a former Miss Colorado, and she studied architectural engineering in college before getting her MBA from Harvard. Fresh off seven years of running the Girl Scouts of North Texas, she talks with KERA’s vice president of news, Rick Holter, about the Perot challenge, which she’ll take up in June.

Paleontologists at Dallas’ Perot Musuem have discovered another new dinosaur species.

They found this pint-sized cousin to the Tyrannosaurus rex at the same site on Alaska’s North Slope where they unearthed another new dinosaur several years ago.

Last year, the Perot Museum of Nature and Science accepted the donation of a Nobel Prize and the loan of a Nobel Peace Prize.

On Friday, museum leaders received four more Nobel medals.

The medals will be installed and on public display in a specially-built case that will be located in the Being Human Hall on Level 2.

The Perot Museum of Nature and Science's sports exhibition space has a new name, the Lamar Hunt Family Sports Hall, and a new $5 million donation from the Hunt family.

Lamar Hunt’s four children were on hand Monday for the announcement. They made the donation to honor their father, the sports legend who formed both the American Football League and Major League Soccer, and gave the Super Bowl its name. Lamar Hunt died in 2006.

There aren’t many places in Texas you can find sheep, ostrich, and the intestines of a reindeer together in one room. Especially not preserved to show you the inner workings of the organs and animals themselves. But that’s exactly what you’ll find at the Perot Museum of Natural Science starting this weekend in a new exhibit called “Animals, Inside Out.”

Nicole Small, who spent the last 12 years building the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, will leave by year's end, the Dallas Morning News reports. She'll become president of the Lyda Hill Foundation. Hill is an important donor to the museum; her foundation has also given a major grant to KERA for its news expansion.
