State and federal officials investigating the explosion at the West Fertilizer Company say the cause is still “undetermined”.

But at an afternoon press conference they said they had ruled out a number of causes including  a fire at the plant, spontaneous ignition and one of two electrical systems . 

ATF Special Agent Robert Champion identified three other potential causes still being investigated: a 120 volt electrical system; a golf cart ; or an intentionally set fire.

Plans for a championship golf course on an old landfill site in southeast Dallas could land the annual Byron Nelson Championship and spark new development on the edge of the Great Trinity Forest. Officials launched the project Friday morning.

The city of Dallas and AT&T are pairing up to build a golf course near Loop 12 and I-45, the Dallas Morning News reports. Their goal: A PGA-quality course that might just take over the Byron Nelson Championship, which has been played in Las Colinas for nearly 30 years.
