Oct. 23, 2011. That’s the last time Arlington felt the surge of two sold-out stadiums on the same day.

Nearly 150,000 fans will come to town Sunday. And with no public transit, Rangers Vice President of Ballpark Operations Sean Decker has a challenge.

Opening day for the Texas Rangers is Monday. The Rangers play the Phillies at 1:05 p.m. And Tanner Scheppers is the Rangers’ Opening Day starter, replacing Yu Darvish, who’s on the disabled list and dealing with stiffness in his neck.

We’re not going to preview the season right now. What we are interested in, though, is what’s new to eat. And the answer is … big! The bigger, the better.

The Rangers unveiled their menu last week. Here’s a look at what you can eat at Globe Life Park in Arlington.

The Texas Rangers’ Ballpark has a new name: Globe Life Park in Arlington.

Globe Life is an insurance company with North Texas ties. It's a 10-year deal, but financial terms haven't been announced.

The Rangers sold the naming rights to the ballpark once before to Ameriquest Mortgage Co. and renamed what was then The Ballpark in Arlington to Ameriquest Field in 2004. Ameriquest relinquished those rights when it closed. In 2007, the park was renamed Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.
