Dallas, TX – Game Five of the World Series tonight is the final home game for the Texas Rangers.
Last night, the Rangers beat the St. Louis Cardinals 4-0 behind some brilliant pitching from left-hander Derek Holland. Tonight, it's Ranger C.J. Wilson on the mound against the Cardinals' Chris Carpenter.
Mac Engle with the Fort Worth Star Telegram says that matchup favors St. Louis.
Engle: You're talking about a guy in Chris Carpenter who has done this before, a lot, several years running now. And no only that, he's done it in the post season before. Where C.J. Wilson has been a really nice regular season pitcher who is looking for that legitimizing performance in the post season which he hasn't turned in yet.
Last night's win tied the series 2-2. Games six and seven are in St. Louis.
