The days since have been a haze of meetings with insurance adjusters, phone calls with her builder, media requests from across the country and around the world.

On Tuesday night, the Fort Worth City Council meets to decide on the boundaries of a historic district within the Stockyards. The council has proposed a 60-acre boundary, but preservationists want to double the size. Fort Worth is in the middle of a multi-million dollar redevelopment plan to revitalize the Stockyards.
