Families renting aging rental homes in West Dallas from HMK Ltd. will share their concerns about this week’s developments before the City Council this morning.
They were facing eviction next week, but the renters on Monday learned they’ll be able to stay in their homes for now. A judge gave them four more months to figure out their future. They also learned they’ll be able to buy some of their homes.
Members of the Texas Tenants Union and the Texas Organizing project will join the renters at the council meeting.
