The top local stories this morning from KERA News: Eastbound I-30 is closed right now while hazmat crews clean up a fuel spill. An 18-wheeler exploded after crashing into another vehicle around 5:45 a.m. this morning. The truck driver was taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital. He later died.
Dallas Fire Rescue's trying to retrieve the truck. It's dangling over an overpass at I-30 and East Grand Avenue in Old East Dallas.

Traffic on the west side of the highway is backed up as drivers deal with the heavy smoke.
