Top Stories: Some Homeless Numbers Have Spiked In North Texas

The top local stories this morning from KERA News:

The number of homeless people in Dallas and Collin Counties haven’t changed much, according to a new homeless count.  

Certain types of homelessness are on the rise, such as unsheltered homelessness. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development considers any person who lacks a fixed, regular and adequate residence to be homeless – including anyone on the street, in emergency shelters, in transitional housing or in safe havens.
