Top Stories: A Showdown Over Restroom Policies; Zika Concerns

Last night's school board meeting was mostly calm, but grew raucous at times, with people on both sides shouting at speakers whose time limit had expired.

The top local stories this morning from KERA News: Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick was in Fort Worth yesterday to call for the resignation of school district Superintendent Kent Scribner. But he has no plans to resign.

Patrick took issue with guidelines intended to allow transgender students access to bathrooms based on their gender identity.
