The Fort Worth Stockyards is generating controversy. Work is underway to redevelop a huge chunk of the iconic landmark – and some worry the new development will change the area too much.
The Fort Worth City Council is also considering how much of the Stockyards should be protected by a historic district.
This weekend, the Nasher Sculpture Center celebrates the Colombian artist Doris Salcedo, the winner of the first Nasher Sculpture Prize. There will be lectures, a gala and on Sunday, free admission at the Center.
