Top Stories: Restraining Order On Abortion Ban Extended; Stories Of Tyler DACA Recipients

The top local stories this morning from KERA News:

A restraining order against the state's ban on second-trimester abortions has been extended until Nov. 2, when a court will hear a lawsuit brought by Whole Women’s Health and other reproductive rights advocacy groups.

The law, which was supposed to take effect Sept. 1 bans doctors from using a common second-trimester abortion procedure known as "dilate and evacuate. A U.S. district judge temporarily blocked enforcement. 

Attorney General Ken Paxton is expected to appeal the ruling to the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals.
