Top Stories: North Texas Runoff Elections Are Tomorrow

The top local stories this morning from KERA News:

Tomorrow's the runoff election for several municipal racesacross North Texas.

There are three city council seats to decide in Dallas.  Eyes are on District 6 in West Dallas, where Omar Narvaez faces incumbent Monica Alonzo. The neighborhood's been the focus after 100 families were about to lose their rental homes. Two other Dallas City Council seats are also in a runoff.

In Fort Worth, voters will decide who will replace retiring City Councilman Sal Espino. He spent nearly a dozen years representing District 2. That race pits aerospace engineer Carlos Flores against retired firefighter Steve Thornton.

Arlington and Garland will also have runoff elections tomorrow to fill City Council and school board seats. Polls open at 7 a.m.
