Top Stories: North Texas Is About To Get Colder; Reflecting On A Year's Worth Of News

The top local stories this morning from KERA News:

A big chill is expected to pass through North Texas this holiday weekend. The National Weather Service in Fort Worth is predicting freezing temperatures for the area.

Bianca Villanueva, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service, says temperatures will drop Saturday night and into Sunday. A chance of drizzle and showers could turn into icy road conditions, and the Texas Department of Transportation will pre-treat roads heading into the weekend.
