Texas hit a 20-year low for executions last year. The death penalty has been on the decline nationwide, as well. All this week, we’ve been focusing on the death penalty in Texas. “State of Execution” is a collaborative series with public radio stations across Texas. Today, Ben Philpott with KUT in Austin reports on what the future holds for the ultimate penalty.
