The top local stories this afternoon from KERA News: After keeping quiet about his post-retirement plans, former Dallas Police Chief David Brown has a new gig. He will be a contributor for ABC News and starts the job in January.

  • The next Texas Legislative session starts in January, and we’re seeing some differences emerge between the two chambers. Ross Ramsey is Executive Editor of the Texas Tribune and joined David Brown of the Texas Standard, the public radio newsmagazine, to talk about the two Lone Star lawmakers.
