The top local stories this morning from KERA News:

The U.S. Department of Education is investigating Baylor University for possibly violating federal Title IX laws.

The agency's Office of Civil Rights yesterday said it opened the investigation after receiving a complaint from former Baylor Title IX Coordinator Patty Crawford, who resigned earlier this month.

The investigation comes after various lawsuits were filed against Baylor by current and former students, who say they were assaulted on-or-off campus and didn’t receive support from the university.

Interim Baylor President David E. Garland said the university will fully cooperate with the review.
