Crowds protested for two days at DFW Airport's international terminal.

The top local stories this morning from KERA News:

President Trump’s executive order banning refugees and visitors from seven primarily Muslim countries caused chaos at airports across the country. Many of those detained by U.S. Customs had legal visas or green cards.

More than 100 lawyers showed up at DFW Airport to offer free legal help to detainees. An estimated 800 protestors filled the international terminal.

A majority of Texas Republicans in Congress have remained silent on Trump’s executive order. Representative Will Hurd is the only Texas Congressional Republican to come out against the ban so far.

Gov. Greg Abbott, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, and U.S. Senators John Cornyn and Ted Cruz have not yet weighed in.
