Top Stories: Election Results Roundup; Health Insurance Architects On Health Care's Future

The top local stories this morning from KERA News: Voters last night decided to abolish Dallas County Schools, a regional bus agency that serves a number of North Texas school districts.

Voters in Dallas approved a billion-dollar bond package.

A $750 million bond issue passed in the Fort Worth school district, as did a so-called “penny swap” that raises money for operations without a tax increase.

Texas voters also ratified all seven proposed changes to the state Constitution.

Other stories this morning:

  • As people are deciding which health insurance plans to sign up for on the federal exchanges, some of the architects of those plans are meeting in Dallas this week to discuss the future of health care.
