Top Stories: Can Hillary Clinton Turn Texas Blue?; Preventing Artist Suicides In Deep Ellum

The top local stories this afternoon from KERA News: Several national polls in recent days show Democrat Hillary Clinton with a lead over Republican Donald Trump – a lead that is widening. In ruby red Texas, the presidential race is tightening, as Clinton is gaining in statewide polls.

  • Texas Christian University in Fort Worth plans to appoint a high-level administrator to promote diversity and inclusiveness after some minority students complained about race issues. 
  • Music and art have thrived in Deep Ellum in Dallas since the 1920s.
