Top Stories: Arlington Residents Voice Concerns On Proposed Injection Well

Apr 21, 2017

The top local stories this morning from KERA News:

Residents sounded off last night at a public forum over a proposed saltwater injection well near Lake Arlington.

Oil and gas company Bluestone says it needs the well to dispose of wastewater from its nearby operations. Fort Worth, Arlington, and the regional water board have filed protests against the application. They’re concerned the well could pollute drinking water.

The Railroad Commission will hold a public hearing next month in Austin about Bluestone’s permit application.
