A homebuilder, a fiction writer, an investor. Those are some of the Dallas-Fort Worth area residents Texas Monthly magazine believes could determine the direction of the state. The staff used an extensive process to choose 35-people who, for better or worse, could shape the future of Texas. For instance, editor Evan Smith says the magazine believes a Hispanic governor in the next few years is inevitable and he said staff writer Paul Burka thinks it could be Dallas lawmaker Rafael Anchia.
