Dallas, TX –

Southwest has completed yesterday's reinspection of 38 planes that were grounded following questions about whether the original checks had been done properly. KERA's Shelly Kofler Reports

Most of the planes are flying again. But the airlines Christi Day says inspectors turned four over to maintenance after they found hairline cracks.

Day: They are just surface repairs in the skin maintenance of the aircraft they involve the skin below the window belt panel and that was the focus of the inspection none of the repairs were critical they were minor repairs to be made.

Those repairs should be complete by next week. The reinspection comes in the midst of regulatory and congressional investigations into Southwest's continued flying of some 50 planes last year after they missed critical inspections.
