A state jail inspector has found no violations at lockups holding more than 150 bikers arrested after a shootout last month at a Waco restaurant.
An inspector from the Texas Commission on Jail Standards showed up unannounced at the McLennan County Jail and adjacent Jack Harwell Detention Center after more than three dozen online complaints were received from suspects jailed after the May 17 shootout at a Waco Twin Peaks restaurant.
Nine people were killed in the gunfire.
The commission's executive director, Brandon Wood, tells the Waco Tribune-Heraldno issues related to minimum jail standards were discovered during the May 28 inspection.
Wood says many of the complaints were similarly worded, leading officials to believe they were initiated by a form letter that had been circulated.
