From The Newsroom: Watching Padera Lake; Training Future Filmmakers

Sixteen-year-old Dustin Cleveland helped place sandbags between homes and a nearby conservation pond.

The top local stories this morning from the KERA Newsroom: While Central Texas deals with the cleanup from flooding, other cities across Texas are keeping on eye on swollen lakes and rivers. Residents in Midlothian are cautiously watching nearby Padera Lake. 

Also, a Tae Kwon Do champion has set her sights on the Olympics.

And this week on the Big Screen, a look at a North Texas high school program that is helping to train future filmmakers.
