The top local stories this morning from the KERA Newsroom: Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price was indicted last year on federal charges of bribery, mail fraud, and tax evasion. Now, a co-defendant in his case has agreed to plead guilty and to testify against him.

Also, towns face the question of what to do about their fracking bans after state lawmakers passed a ban on such ordinances.

Finally, researchers at UT Southwestern are studying how to regenerate heart tissue.
