Dallas County District Attorney Susan Hawk.

The top local stories this morning from the KERA Newsroom: The judge in the lawsuit aiming to remove Dallas County District Attorney Susan Hawk from office has recused herself.

The Dallas Morning News reports the judge who would have appointed a replacement also recused herself from the case.

The paper says the move was expected because this case involves a fellow elected official from the same county, which could create a conflict of interest.
