From The Newsroom: Suspended Irving Teen Speaks, Census Spotlights Health Coverage

The top local stories this evening from the KERA Newsroom: Ahmed Mohamed spoke at press conference outside his home Wednesday.

He was handcuffed and questioned about bomb-making after bringing a homemade clock to school. Now, the 14-year-old freshman says he might not go back to MacArthur High School. His family also spoke at the press conference.

The U.S. Census reports the biggest drop in the nation's uninsured rate in years. Texas has seen gains in health insurance coverage too, but the state ranks dead last nationwide.
