North Texans enjoyed what could be the last bit of winter weather.

The top local stories this evening from the KERA Newsroom: Three to seven inches of snow blanketed North Texas. This could be the last gasp of winter for the region, so adults, kids, and even dogs were out to enjoy it.

However, school districts are trying to figure out how to make up the snow days. In San Antonio, Bryan Adams High School's girls' basketball team will try for its first-ever state title.

You can listen to the segment weekdays at 6:20 p.m. and 8:20 a.m. on 90.1 FM.

Former KERA staffer Krystina Martinez was an assistant producer. She produced local content for Morning Edition and KERANews.org. She also produced The Friday Conversation, a weekly series of conversations with North Texas newsmakers. Krystina was also the backup newscaster for the Texas Standard.
