From The Newsroom: A Positive State Financial Forecast; College Football Predictions

The top local stories this evening from the KERA Newsroom: The state comptroller released his budget forecast today. It looks good, but falling oil prices may affect it in the future. Also, a young man investigates his own crime in the Independent Lens documentary Evolution of a Criminal, which airs tonight at 9 on KERA-TV.

Finally, a frenetic football weekend winds down in North Texas with the College Football Championship. We'll hear from fans who made the trek to AT&T Stadium, as well as NPR's Tom Goldman on which team will clinch the title.
