The top local stories this evening from the KERA Newsroom: Governor Greg Abbott’s announcement that Texas will not accept Syrian refugees following the Paris terrorist attacks. Monday, the governor directed Texas health officials not to participate in the resettlement of Syrians.
Abbott also sent a letter to President Obama and urged him to scrap federal plans to accept more Syrian refugees in the United States.
About 100 bicyclists spent part of their weekend riding along the Trinity River in Fort Worth as part of an event called The Great Seed Bomb.
