Listen To Wednesday Morning's 'KERA Newsroom'

Want to know the region's most interesting stories in under 10 minutes? On Monday, KERA 90.1 FM launched a twice-a-day local news segment called “KERA Newsroom.” The 10-minute segments air weekdays at 8:20 a.m. and 6:20 p.m. Click below to listen to Wednesday morning's edition, which includes plans for a fast-moving bullet train from Dallas to Houston and a look at a North Texas art project called Make Art With Purpose that tries to promote healing and social change.

Eric Aasen is KERA’s managing editor. He helps lead the station's news department, including radio and digital reporters, producers and newscasters. He also oversees keranews.org, the station’s news website, and manages the station's digital news projects. He reports and writes stories for the website and contributes pieces to KERA radio. He's discussed breaking news live on various public radio programs, including The Takeaway, Here & Now and Texas Standard, as well as radio and TV programs in New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
