“Inside the Bush Center” is a half-hour preview of Thursday's George W. Bush Presidential Center dedication. Hosted by Shelley Kofler, guests include Bush Library and Museum Director Alan Lowe and former Undersecretary of State and Bush adviser Karen Hughes.
Here’s a preview of what Hughes had to say about how the library handles controversy.
Kofler: How will the center deal with those moments that were contentious?
Hughes: Very straight on. There’s actually a clip of President Bush in the museum saying 'we were wrong, our intelligence was wrong' about the weapons of mass destruction. Not only our intelligence, but intelligence services all over the world and he takes that very head on and there’s a clip in there. People maybe surprised to find Condi Rice ... talking about Guantanamo, talking about enhanced interrogation. And so again, his instruction is to put out the facts, put out the good and the bad.
