Election Day Forecast In North Texas: Up To 2 Inches Of Rain

Rain is expected to fall across North Texas throughout the day Tuesday.

It’s a rainy Election Day across North Texas. A cold front has arrived, bringing showers and thunderstorms to the region.

More than an inch of rain is expected through Wednesday, although some areas could see 2 inches. Wind gusts could reach 40 mph, but severe weather isn’t expected, the National Weather Service says.

Expect a high temperature in the low to mid-60s around midday, although that will drop throughout the afternoon. Tonight, expect a low around 50 degrees. Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with a high around 60 degrees.
