DISD Superintendent Mike Miles' choice for chief of staff, Leonardo Caballero, has decided not to come to Dallas.

He was supposed to start his new job December 10 at a salary of $180,000.

DISD's website posted a press release Monday with a statement from Caballero saying he's changed his mind because of personal considerations.

Caballero formerly served as  Special Assistant to the Lamar University President  in Beaumont.
