Dallas Skyline To Go Dark for Earth Hour
By BJ Austin, KERA News
Dallas, TX – Tomorrow night, from 8:30 to 9:30 is "Earth Hour". It is a global event organized by the World Wildlife Fund to dramatize climate change, and call for solutions.
Leslie Aun, with the World Wildlife Fund, says DALLAS is a "key" Earth Hour city for the first time.
Aun: Earth Hour is really a symbolic event. It's a vote with your light switch. It's telling our members of Congress, it's telling our leaders we care about the future of our planet, and we want action.
Most of the downtown Dallas skyline will go dark, including the Bank of America Tower - the one outlined in green - and Reunion Tower. Plano, McKinney and Arlington are also among 400 cites worldwide that plan to turn off the lights for an hour.
